NOT Just Another Cemetery Shot!

It's been a while since I was here. Thought it was time to blog again. Shot this picture at Greenwood Cemetery in Hot Springs, AR. I love it! I am happy with the composition, the color, the exposure... and since it was shot for a scavenger hunt group in which there is no editing allowed, other than cropping for size and added my tag, it is "as is" the way it came from the camera. Just think it is kinda cool!

Remembering

It's been about a week and a half (since Super Bowl Sunday) that I did a photo walk through my favorite Houston area cemetery, Glenwood. It is an area that sometimes gives me just the peace and inspiration I need as I walk around soaking in the beauty. Tonight snagging and editing a few of the pictures I recently took there seemed like just the right thing to do.

Heart A'Burnin'

Just a little for fun photo play today. I ran around and checked out cupcakes all over the building at the Valentine's Day parties today. I DID NOT eat one....just wanted to shoot the most beautiful ones! These were YUMMY looking and if I was going to eat one...I would have chosen one of these. I love the variety of texture in the photo!

This morning a I saw a cool heart candle photo...put me in the mood to shoot some candles this evening. I need to read up and try this again...not too happy with them... they're just alright!

WOW...took, edited AND posted in blog 2 days in a row! ME? WOW again... LOL!

Photo Walk: Galveston Seawall 1-13-11

I needed someplace to do a "photo walk"....been trying to do that on Sundays (ok ONLY since last week lol). :D While I was in church, Galveston came to mind....and I got to thinking about the man, woman, child statue I had NEVER gotten to take a picture of. Today I got a shot of it...its very nice...a memorial for the hurricane in 1900. It was a nice day, not too hot (yea) and not too cold (out of the water any way) and sunny! It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

A New Beginning...

It's been a while since I carried my camera with me everywhere....since I looked through my camera to see more than meets the eye. That time has come again. I won't call it a "365-Day Shoot" because I probably won't find a photo every day....not that I think there isn't ALWAYS something worth shooting and sharing...but I am JUST realistic enough about myself to know that a little ADD moment....and OOPS a skipped day happens! I WILL use this blog to share photos and other things that you my friends may (or may not) care about. Please feel free to comment throughout the journey of this blog... I love to read what you have to say....in general, about the photos, etc. Looking forward to it!

Today after school I took a little photo walk around the school. It was beautifully sunshiney, extra chilly and very breezy. Winter going? Spring coming? Who knows....the weather is going to be interesting this week...and the groundhog will tell us tomorrow what to expect with the seasons... LOL...

Picture 1 is of a flower amidst the clover. I didn't see any 4-leaf clovers...but the flower sure stands out...

Picture 2 is part of our playground equipment. Can you see the "S"? I just officially started an ABC Scavenger Hunt with that one. :) Only 25 more letters to go! ;)

Anyway.....just a little photo play this afternoon getting those creative parts of me flowing a bit! "See" ya again soon.
